Birding Tours in Colorado
Visiting Colorado and looking for a day of guided birding?
We’ve got you covered with day trips to some of the best birding in the west. Search for ptarmigan on the alpine tundra at Rocky Mountain National Park. Scan for Mountain Plovers and longspurs on the short grass prairies of the Pawnee National Grassland. See western species like Steller’s Jay, Bullock’s Oriole, MacGillivray’s Warbler or Western Tanager in the foothills along the Front Range.
Each tour is arranged according to your preferences, pace and targets. A picnic lunch is included along with transportation from your lodging.

Many of our tours begin at sunrise in the alpine tundra searching for the elusive White-tailed Ptarmigan.

Many of our tours begin at dawn on the prairie, taking in the vastness of the treeless expanse as we scan for the elusive Mountain Plover.
Other grassland species like Grasshopper Sparrow, Lark Bunting, Cassin’s Sparrow, Horned Lark, Western Kingbird and Western Meadowlark can be abundant as we search for longspurs and sometimes Burrowing Owl.
