I booked a tour for my parents as a gift, and we all loved our experience. Peter was thoughtful and thorough in crafting the tour, which was enjoyable, engaging, and educational. Peter has an impressive wealth of knowledge of Colorado birds, and the delicious egg salad sandwiches were a delight! 

My experience with Rocky Mountain Birding was fantastic. I contacted Peter to set everything up and the communication was excellent. He put us in such incredible spots to see moose, elk, coyote and a vast array of amazing birds. His wildlife knowledge and the love for what he does resonates. I had a fantastic time birding with Peter in Colorado. We saw 75 species in two days. My personal highlights were Mountain Plover, both Chestnut-collared and Thick-billed Longspurs, Brown-capped Rosy-Finch and Mountain Bluebirds. Peter was great and we made additional stops in two other locations to see Band-tailed Pigeons, Rock Wrens and more.

I highly recommend Peter as a guide, he went out of his way to make our trip a beautiful, memorable one! Peter is friendly, easy going and very informative about Colorado. My husband has some physical disabilities and he took that into consideration. I gave him a birding “needs” list and he researched weeks before our tour so we would have the most success. Highlights from the day were many, and we even spotted my nemesis bird, MacGillivray’s Warbler!

My wife is an avid birder and I like bird photography and Peter agreed to guide us in the three biospheres around Boulder. He helped us find hotel accommodations and selected excellent restaurants for evening dinner. Peter is a naturalist besides being a birding guide, and is well versed in the geography, history, and events in Boulder and the surrounding area. He is good company! We would strongly recommend Peter Burke for your birding adventures.
